Body Central is a fitness and wellness studio offering Pilates, GYROTONIC®, GYROKINESIS®, stretch and acupressure programs. The studio, at nearly 5,000 square feet, houses a full line of exercise apparatus for personal Pilates and GYROTONIC® instruction as well as a separate room for small group Pilates, GYROKINESIS® and stretch classes.

Pilates is a low-impact exercise method that focuses on body control. Physical control is developed by reinforcing the body’s center through precise, concentrated, flowing movements done while breathing slowly and deeply. GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® methodology maximize and evenly distribute the body’s muscles through circularity of movement, with special attention given to increase the functional capacity of the spine. Similar in purpose, although using different processes, these methods are complementary to one another. Indeed, many of our clients engage mix methods for maximum benefit.

All of our exercise programs are known to improve posture, increase circulation, and reduce stress by focusing the mind and the body to work together for total fitness. Individuals that desire defined muscle tone, healthy bone density, proper balance and flexibility without the bulk of traditional weight training can benefit from our fitness programs.

Body Central is affiliated with Romana’s Pilates and GYROTONIC® Headquarters. We have teacher trainers on site for individuals interested in certification through either of these groups.

What is CrossFit? CrossFit delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general and inclusive. Our specialty is not specializing.

The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any individual regardless of experience. We’ve used our same routines for elderly individuals with heart disease and cage fighters one month out from televised bouts. We scale load and intensity…we don’t change programs.

CrossFit movements are functional and based on the natural movements of human beings. We constantly vary the exercises, sets, reps, durations and intensity to provide the maximum stimulus for our clientele. Our training includes, running, jumping, Olympic lifting, Kettlebells, complex conditioning, agility drills, Plyometrics, rowing and medicine balls. You will see continual results because, with CrossFit, you will never plateau.
